Interment followed in the church cemetary under the direction of Riser First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mr. Peavy died Saturday, Aug 30, 1997 at E. A. Conway Hospital. He is preceded in death by his father Ollie Peavy.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Bell Peavy, Monroe; mother, Mary Bell Peavy, Baskin; three daughters, Sharon A. Mullins, Winnsboro; Shelly Pierce and Angela Peavy, both of Monroe; three sons, Gerald W. Peavy, James Peavy and Scottie Peavy, all of Monroe; four sisters, Linda Faye Peavy, Lois McDaniel, and Janice Higgins, all of Winnsboro, Ludie McKenzie, Baskin; one brother Archie L. Peavy, Plaquemine; four grandchildren and 11 step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Mack Currington, Dewayne Bass, Charlie McGraw, John Allen McGraw, Kenneth Wayne Mcgraw and Brian Mcgraw.
