Alanson G Crandall, age 22 of Jones County,Iowa nativity Pennsylvania enlisted Aug 15 1862 into Co K 24th Iowa Infantry.

Discharged for disease Jan 30 1863 Keokuk,Iowa.
His brother Wallace M, age 18. enlisted same day, and Merrill C, age 39, the following day. Both survived the war. A younger brother, Zanoni G, age 17 enlisted Feb 20 1864 into same company. He died of disease at Vicksburg.
