The funeral service for homemaker and former factory worker Faye L. Wallace Clayton of Paris will be at 11 a.m. Friday at McEvoy Funeral Home.

Larry Dukes, pastor of Point Pleasant Baptist Church, where she was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Chosen as pallbearers are Quentin Martin, Carl Sykes, Roger and David Underwood, Tom Hainley and Kyle Green.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Hainley, Russell Wallace and Tommy Cox.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Friday.

Clayton, 79, died Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at her residence.

Born in Henry County's Old 23rd District on Nov. 7, 1930, she was a daughter of the late George Franklin Wallace and Mildred Nell Martin Wallace.

She was married on July 4, 1947, to James Clayton, who died Nov. 11, 1992.

Clayton formerly worked at Salant & Salant and Mar-Kel Lighting, both in Paris.

She leaves one daughter, Dorothy (Gerald) Rice of Springville; four sisters: Betty (Roger) Underwood of Cottage Grove, Jinelle (Jimmy) Hainley of Springville, Judy (Charlie) Merrell of Big Sandy and Ethel Johnson of Paris;

One brother, Russell (Mary Ruth) Wallace of Paris; two grandchildren: Chris Rice of Paris and Jason Rice of Springville; and one great-grandchild, Natalie Rice of Springville.

She also was preceded in death by two sisters: Hilda Russell and Frances Evans; and three brothers: Frank, Everette and John Douglas Wallace.
