Mrs Doris K. Ross whio came to Antelope Valley in 1934,died July 12 at her home in Fresno after a brief illness. She was 63.
Funeral services were held July 15 at the Mumaw Funeral Home with Dr. David G. Rogne of the United Methodist Church of Lancaster conducting the rites and burial in Lancaster Cemetery.
Mrs. Ross was born Sept. 1,1914 in Nile,Milam,Tex., and in November of 1932 in Berryville,Ark. married married James Herschel Ross Sr., who survives. She was a member of the Christian Church of Fresno.
In addition to her husband, James, of Fresno, also surviving are a daughter, Janet Ann Given of Avalon; a son James H. Ross Jr. of Fresno; her mother, Ollie M. Hamblen of Lancaster; two brothers, John B. Hamblen of Oregon and Henry F. Hamblen of Tehachapi; a sister Jean Olds of Lancaster; and five grandchildren.
