Holbert & Bert Atterbury had no children but were close to our Clayton family in Texas. They lived next door and took care of my husband's great grandfather, Van Clayton , in his declining years. My husband remembers visiting Elberta "Bert" whenever they went to Texas from Alabama to visit family. He remembers her as a kind woman and desires their friendship to our family to be remembered.
