WESTFIELD - Milton L. "Uncle Milty" Graham, age 78, of Pearl Street, Westfield died unexpectedly, Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at home in Westfield. Milt was born on October 13, 1931 in Westfield, NY the son of the late Henry A. and Violet (Sterns) Graham. A Westfield resident all his life, "Uncle Milty" was a 50+ year member of the Fire Dept. of Westfield. Milt was very active in Volunteer Fire Service as a member of the Westfield Hook and Ladder Co. #1 where he served as Secretary; The Fire Police, where he served several terms as Captain; the First Aid Squad where he had served as Secretary and Treasurer; and the Westfield Exempt Firemen's Assoc. where he had served as Secretary. He
was also a member of the Chautauqua County Vol. Firemen's Assoc., and a life member of the Southwestern Assoc. of
Vol. Firemen. He had been employed at the former Union 76 Truck Plaza in North East, Pa., prior to retirement due to disability in 1991. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Blanche E. (Nusom) Graham; his four daughters, Linda Reardon, Shirley Reardon, and Cheryl Smith all of Westfield, N.Y., Brenda Lindholme of Ripley, N.Y. and Georgia. Milton is further survived by his twin sister, Glenervia Graham of Westfield and his other sister, Ione Taggert of Florida. Milton also is survived by his 14 Grandchildren and many great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Bradley Louis Graham, and his brother, Harry "Jack" Graham.
