OLATHE - Mark Dean Elmore, 62, of Olathe died Sunday, May 15, 2005, in Olathe.

He was born Oct. 5, 1943, in Wichita to Clarence and Gladys Elmore. He graduated from Wellington High School in 1962 and received a bachelor of business administration degree from Wichita State University in 1969. He was employed as an administrative assistant to the superintendent at Winfield State Hospital and Training Center. In 1978, he and his family moved to the Olathe area, where he was executive director of Johnson County Mental Retardation Center. He earned a master of science in business administration from University of Northern Colorado in 1984. He served as executive director of Johnson County Developmental Supports in Lenexa for 27 years.

He was involved in many organizations.

Survivors include is wife of 40 years, Jeanette; one son, Brenton; one daughter, Tracie Kaiser; one brother, Leonard; and his sisters, Marilene Moore, Naomi Lammy of Parsons and Maggie Buntaine.

The service will be at noon Saturday at College Church of the Nazarene, 2020 E. Sheridan, Olathe.
