Frederick John "Fred" Dahlstrom was born on 17 May 1896 in Norcraso, Minnesota.

Fred married Olga Rosa Schauer, the daughter of Charles Julius and Emilie (Nimz) Schauer. Rosa was born on 04 February 1899 in Morton, Renville County, Minnesota.

Frederick John “Fred” Dahlstrom was a World War I Veteran. In 1910, he worked as a railroad section foreman.

Frederick John and Olga Rosa (Schauer) Dahlstrom had three sons:

1. Infant Boy Dahlstrom was born and died on 28 August 1919 in Winthrop, Sibley County, Minnesota. He was buried in the Winthrop Cemetery in Winthrop, Sibley County, Minnesota, in Lot Number 2, Block Number 140.

2. Arthur Frederic Dahlstrom was the second-born son of Olga Rosa (Schauer) and Frederick John Dahlstrom. He was born on 30 March 1921 in Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota. Arthur Frederic was a Sergeant in the United States Army during World War II. His service start date was 24 March 1943.

3. Charles John Dahlstrom was the third-born son of Olga and Frederick John Dahlstrom. He was born on 31 August 1924 in Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota. Charles married Lydia Emma Gaulke. Lydia was born on 27 September 1921 in Minnesota.

Frederick John “Fred” Dahlstrom died on 27 July 1954 in Hennepin County, Minnesota. His funeral service was held on 30 July with burial following in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Section F-2, Site 213, 7601 34th Avenue, South Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota.
