Jacquelyn Wideman
Jacquelyn J. Wideman "Jackie" May 30, 1931 ~ Jan. 6, 2010 Resident of Antioch Jacquelyn passed away in her home in Antioch, California. The daughter of Tom and Eleanor Armstrong, she was raised by her mother Eleanor and step-father Pete Gibson. A graduate of Liberty High School in Brentwood, California, Jackie worked for many years in a local Dentist's office as the Office Manager. She loved garage sales and thrift stores and was legendary for her many shrewd purchases. Jackie was preceded in death by her grandson Nick Markus, brother Harry Armstrong, son Albert Markus, and her beloved husband Synotte "Whitey" Wideman. Whitey predeceased her by only six months, having died July 2, 2009. Jackie is survived by her brother Fred Gibson, sister-in-law Mary Armstrong, son Steve Wideman, daughter-in-law Dayle Wideman, daughter Doreen Blanchard, daughter-in-law Lorna Markus; her grandchildren: Michael Wideman (Melissa), Jeffrey Wideman (Sumi), Meredith Redd (Billy), Jennifer Ribeiro (Andrew), Benjamin Markus (Maren), Bobby Padia (Alysa), Antoinette Padia; and nine great-grandchildren. Jackie will be interred with Whitey at Union Cemetery, 11545 Brentwood Blvd., Brentwood, CA 94513. There will be a graveside service at 1pm Saturday, January 16, 2010. Whitey and Jackie, known to most everyone as Grandpa and Grandma, will be dearly missed by all.
