Miss Eva Ison, one of the most popular young ladies in Burgin, died Monday morning after an illness of just a few days. She possessed a beautiful character, was devoted and unselfish in her family, and was greatly loved by all who knew her. She was born and reared in Burgin, and in early girlhood united with the Methodist church there and was devoted in its duties. The funeral was held at the home Tuesday afternoon, conducted by her former pastor, the Rev. E. L. Ockerman, of Perryville. Burial was in the Burgin cemetery. She is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Messrs. S. D. Ison, Taylor Ison, of Burgin; Mrs. Thomas Squifflet, Mr. Nathan Ison, Harrodsburg; Mr. Elbert Ison, High Bridge; Mrs. J. T. Moore, of Clay City, Ky.; Mrs. Effie Hankins, of Louisville, and Mrs. Isham Gentry, of Cincinnati.
