1855--16 Mar 1855, LEMAN BRONSON, Pioneer to Utah in 1847, p. 1, "....they moved to a "wild tract of land 18 miles southwest from Detroit, Michigan near the town of Flat Rock...." Page 2., "....Wilmer said that it was in December and the ordinance was performed a midnight one-quarter mile from home. This may have been in the Huron River, which is shown on the map as about that distance from Flat Rock. Wilmer said: "...the stream where she was baptized
was frozen over to the depth of a foot or more...."

We are sorry to have to record the death of Lemon Bronson, who was one of our companions da voyage from Salt Lake to the Missouri River Last fall: he died at his son's house in Brownsville, Mich., March 16, 1855."
