Gloucester - A funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Newington Baptist Church here for Mrs. Nancy Hudgins Hirschberg, 40, and her daughter, Julie Beth Hirschberg, 12, who were killed in a traffic accident here Monday afternoon.

The service will be conducted by the Rev. George Turner, pastor.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 9 tonight at Andrews Funeral Home here.

The wife of Donald W. Hirschberg, principal of Gloucester High School, Mrs. Hirschberg was the owner of Welcome Aboard Enterprises, a newcomers' greeting service, and was secretary at Gloucester Middle School from 1975 to 1979.

She was a member of Newington Baptist Church, where she served in the choir. She attended Lees-McRee College and Virginia Commonwealth University.

Survivors in addition to her husband are her daughter, Miss Donna Lynn Hirschberg; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd W. Hudgins of Richmond, and a sister, Mrs. Cathy Lynn Arnett of Baton Rouge, La.

Julie Beth Hirschberg was in the sixth grade at Gloucester Middle School. She was a member of Newington Baptist Church and its youth choir, a youth football cheerleader, a participant in the Gloucester Parks and Recreation gymnastics program and a member of the Gloucester 4-H Club.

In addition to her father, sister and maternal grandparents, she is survived by her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William H. Hirschberg of Holiday, Fla.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Newington Baptist Church building fund.
