Velma Maxine Prance, Malden, was born Feb. 12, 1923, in Clarkton, to the late Lowell C. Waltrip and Anna Mae, and departed this life Dec. 13, 2016 at Ridgeview Living Community in Malden at the age of 93 years. She was married to John A. Prance, Sr. He preceded her in death in 1968.

She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Malden.

She is survived by one son, John A. Prance, Jr. and wife, Suzanne of Dexter; one daughter, Connie Hampton and husband, Bill, of Dexter; three grandchildren, William Robert Hampton, Julie Mangum, and J. R. Prance; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Lowell C. “Bud” Waltrip, Jr.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016 in the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden. Funeral services will immediately follow with Rev. Aulden LeBlanc officiating. Burial will be in Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton.

Velma Maxine Prance, the daughter of late Lowell C and Anna Mae Haislip Waltrip, was born February 12, 1923, in Clarkton, MO.

On December 18, 1942, in Kennett, MO, she was united in marriage to John A Prance, Sr. He preceded her in death on August 6, 1968.

Maxine was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Malden.

Mrs. Prance died December 13, 2016, in Malden, MO, at the age of 93 years, 10 months and 1 day.

Survivors include 1 son, John A Prance, Jr and wife, Suzanne, of Dexter, MO; 1 daughter, Connie Hampton and husband, Bill, also of Dexter; 3 grandchildren, William Robert Hampton, Julie Mangum and J.R. Prance; 7 great grandchildren Abby, Nate and Libby Mangum and Clay, Blaine, Adeline and Levi Prance and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by 1 brother, Lowell C “Bud” Waltrip, Jr.

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Bradshaw Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Reverend Aulden LeBlanc officiating. Burial will be in Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, MO.
