The obituary for Mrs. Mary Sexson stated that she had died at her home in Windsor, Mar. 8, 1906 and was born in Granger Co., TN, Oct. 20, 1825, nee Mary Acuff. She married Lemuel A. Sexson at White Co., IN, Mar. 15, 1842. They had ten children, only five of whom survived their mother, namely, J. M., W. S., E. J., I. W., and Mrs. Martha M. Atkins of Freeman, IN. They had came to Shelby Co., IL in the fall of 1865. Her husband died Dec. 25, 1893. Also surviving were 37 grandchildren, 29 whom are living and 12 great grandchildren of whom 10 were living.
