Northwood --- Funeral services for Henry A. Everhart, 74, of Northwood, will be 3 p.m. Monday at Hogan-Bremer-Conner Colonial Chapel, Northwood. The Rev. Joe Mott of Crane Chapel, Austin, Minnesota, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, Iowa.
Mr. Everhart died Thursday (January 29, 1987) at an Albert Lea, Minnesota hospital.
Visitation is after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The family requests memorials be given to the Senior Center Recreation Center, Northwood, and the Northwood Senior Center.
He was born July 10, 1912 in Mason City to William N. and Dorothea (Stoltenburg) Everhart. He attended Mason City schools.
On September 26, 1939, he married Myrtle Harris in Waterloo. He farmed in the Northwood area before retiring to Northwood in 1974 where he did painting and carpentry work.
Mr. Everhart was a member of the Senior Citizen Recreation Center, a member of the Northwood Senior Center, and former member of Elk Creek Lutheran Church, rural Kensett.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle, Northwood; two daughters, Patricia Everhart of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and Mrs. Steven (Lori Jo) Saltou of Northwood; two sons, William of Buffalo, Wyoming and Marvin of Hayward, Minnesota; two sisters, Evelyn Sandy of Rockford, Illinois and Hattie Stevens of Clear Lake; three brothers, Carl of Mason City, Emil of Richmond, California, and Arlo of Denver, Colorado; six grandchildren and one great-grand-daughter.
He was preceded in death by h is parents, two brothers, three sisters and one granddaughter.
