Obituary (Taken from THE HORRY HERALD, April 1938)
The night of March 15, 1938 the death angel took my loving father, Gabriel Edwards home with Jesus to rest forever more. He was 89 years 2 months & 20 days old when God called for him. Oh dear father how I miss you in this world of sin & pain. But someday I hope to meet you where we never part again.
Dear Heavenly Father I am praying that you will help us all to live right so we will have that assurance that when you call for his children that we will have our robes washed in the blood of the Lamb. So dear brothers & sisters let's pray till God shall call us to that blessed home above, so the family circle will never be broken in that home that God has prepared above.

Submitted by his daughter,
Pearl Lee Edwards Johnson Cook
