Graveside services for Marjory Lee Noble McDonough will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, July 16, 2010, at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe, LA with Pastor Tom Lowe officiating. Services are under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mrs. McDonough, born in West Monroe, LA to Angie Luther Noble and R. T. Noble on July 3, 1920, went to be with Jesus on July 11, 2010.
Mrs. McDonough graduated from the School of Nursing at St. Francis Hospital in 1940. She retired from nursing in 1990. She was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church.
Mrs. McDonough had proudly served her country as a nurse in the Army Air Corps during World War II with the rank of 1st Lieutenant. While stationed at Selman Field, she met her husband, James A. McDonough, to whom she was married for 50 years.
Mrs. McDonough was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sister, Norma Jean Noble. She is survived by her five children: Judy McDonough of Cedar Park, TX; Mike McDonough of West Monroe, LA; Cindy Upton and her husband John of Rome, GA; Terri Miles and her husband David of Marrero, LA; and Barbi Rushing of Georgetown, TX; 14 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe on Thursday, July 15, 2010, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
The family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN; to the Methodist Children's Home in Ruston, LA, or charity of your choice.
