Mrs. Lydia Sturgeon Dies in Nursing Home: PERU-Mrs. Lydia A. Sturgeon 86, a lifelong resident of Denver, died at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Leffel nursing home after an illness of several years. Born in Miami county on March 8, 1870, she was the daughter of Ephram and Martha (Bell) Clendenning. She was married to George Sturgeon in 1890. He died in 1935. The only survivors are nieces and nephews. The deceased was a member of the Chili Baptist church. Final rites will be conducted at the Denver Baptist church at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. C. F. Golden officiating. Burial will be made in Plainview cemetery at Macy. The body will lie in state one hour at the church. Friends may call at the Eikenberry funeral home.
