Funeral services for Mrs. O. B. Henderson were held from the Tilden Church of Christ on March 25, 1947 with interment in the Union Grove Cemetery. She was 83 years of age. Mrs. Henderson died on Monday night (March 24, 1947) after having been confined to her bed for only a week with flu and pneumonia at her home near New Salem. A member of the Hawden's Chapel Methodist Church since childhood, Mrs. Henderson had joined the Tilden Church of Christ only 4 years ago at the age of 79, and had been baptized at the same time as a grand daughter. A daughter of the late Richard Ivy Harden, who established Harden's Chapel Methodist Church, she leaves only two sisters to survive her out of 10 brothers and sisters. Surviving sisters are Mrs. Henry Umfress of Fulton, Rt. 1, and Mrs. Z. D. Wheeler of Jackson, Miss. Her husband preceded her to the grave by 10 years. She leaves the following children: Mrs. Chester Wells and Relzie Henderson, of Fulton, Rt. 1, and Mrs. O. K. Sutherland of Gainesville, Fla. Ten grandchildren also survive.

Pallbearers were Oran C. Smith, Graden Palmer, Audie Taylor, Sanders Mattax, Edrias Dove and Woodrow Steele.
