Jack Edward Rhoads, born May 2, 1927 in Wichita, Kansas, passed away into the arms of his Savior on July 12, 2010.

Jack was a compassionate man who was always willing to extend a helping hand to all who needed it. He was a stable man who was the rock of our family. His sense of humor, gift of gab, and a listening ear kept us going. Jack was a man who had a close relationship with his Lord. He clung tightly to his convictions, not willing to be swayed or compromised. Our love and respect for this man goes deeper than any can realize.

Jack was larger than life even though age affected his capabilities, it never changed his availability. This aspect of his life touched numerous people. He served as Chaplain in West Valley City, S.L. County, and Pioneer Valley Hospital for numerous years, as well as for the Gideons and Lions Club. Jack married Minnette Jene Ashren on January 9, 1948.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Minnette; daughters, Susan Mecham and Pat (Roger) Orn; sons, Ed and Karl (Lisa) Rhoads; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and brother, Max (Ann) Rhoads. Preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Florence Collier Rhoads; step-mother, Alma Rhoads; and daughter-in-law, Carrol.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Per Jack's request, there will be no viewing.
