ALBERT BOURG

Albert Joseph Bourg, 73, a native and retired resident of Houma, died 8:45 a.m.
Thursday.

Bourg was a retired seafood businessman, a business he continued from his
father's in 1930. In 1940, he and a partner opened a seafood company, followed
by a shrimp canning plant in Dulac in 1945. At the time of his father's death,
he was named president of Harry Bourg Corporation around the year 1963. He was
also on the advisory board of First National Bank of Houma, Dulac Branch, a
member of the Elks Lodge No 1193 and a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic
Church.

Visitation is from 9 a.m. until 11 p.m. today and resumes 8 a.m. Saturday until
funeral time at Chauvin Funeral Home. Burial will be in the St. Francis No. 2, Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Agnes Picone Bourg; one son, Carl J. Bourg of Dulac;
two daughters, Mrs. Arthur "Pat" (Mary-Lou) Boudreaux, and Mrs. Myron "Tom"
(Joyce) Benoit of Grand Caillou; five sisters, Nora Breaux Chatagnier, Mrs.
Cyrus (Gertie) Theriot, Mrs. Lawrence (Dorothy) Bergeron, all of Houma, Mrs.
Elie (Evelina) Gallier of Lafayette and Mrs. Russell (Mildred) Voisin of Grand
Caillou;1 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Louise Samanie and Harry J. Bourg; and
one sister, Mrs. Robert (Lena) Martin.

Chauvin Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
