STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. - Mrs. Ira Borders McGinty, 94, formerly of West Point died Thursday, Jan. 12, 1995, at her residence.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 14 at 11 a.m. at McCarthy Funeral Home in West Point with Dr. Hugh Peacock officiating. Burial will follow in Marseilles Cemetery in West Point.

Mrs. McGinty is survived by her son, J. C. (Buddy) McGinty Jr. of Stone Mountain, Ga.; her sister, Jessie Combs of Pensacola, Fla.; and her granddaughter, Laura Lee McGinty of Stone Mountain, Ga.

Born Nov. 25, 1900, in Troup County, Ga., Mrs. McGinty was an active member of the West Point First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir. She was a Registered Nurse having worked at the old West Point Hospital, George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital and for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. Mrs. McGinty was a member of the West Point Womans Club. She was a homemaker.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association, Inc., 70 E. Lake St., Chicago, Ill., 60601 in memory of Mrs. McGinty.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at McCarthy Funeral Home in West Point.
