MONROE- Funeral services for Patrick J. Connors Sr., 65-year old Monroe plumbing contractor who was killed Monday night in a car-truck crash near Monroe, will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. in the Stuessy funeral home and at 8:30 in St. Victor's Catholic church.
Born in Amherst, Massachusetts, Mr. Connors came to Wisconsin as a youth and was married at West Bend in 1916 to Alice B. Norder of Monroe. They had lived here since their marriage.
A master plumber for the past 40 years, he had worked in Rockford, Illinois, before his marriage. In 1932, he established the Connors Plumbing and Heating Company in Monroe. Five years ago, his son, Patrick Jr., became a partner in the firm.
He was a member of St. Victor's Catholic Church, the Monroe Knights of Columbus, and the Lions club. He was a past dictator of the Monroe Moose Lodge and was a member of the National Association of Master Plumbers.
Survivors include his wife, and three sons Capt. Stephen W. Connors, an air ROTC instructor at St. Thomas college, St. Paul, Minnesota, and Maurice and Patrick Jr. of Monroe, and six grandchildren.
