Chester Anderson Dies At Anadarko Hospital
Chester Anderson died at the Anadarko hospital Monday night after an illness of three weeks. Funeral services were held at the Alfalfa Baptist church at 3 p.m. Wednesday and interment was made in the Alfalfa cemetery. Rev. Garland Howard, pastor of the Carnegie Baptist Church, conducted the services.
Chester Howard Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. R.T. Anderson, was born in Carnegie, Okla. April 2, 1916, died July 30, 1934, aged 18 years, 3 months and 28 days. He had lived in this community all his life. He was converted and prepared to go.
Besides the parents he is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Homer Dyer, Mildred and Imogene; one brother Leon; three half brothers, Marcus Anderson and Eldon and W.L. McBride; and two half sisters, Mrs. S.B. Powers and Mrs. G.J. Hazel.
Relatives from a distance who were here for the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. G.M. Toby, Mr. and Mrs. H.P. Toby and Ommer Toby, all of Ada; Mr. and Mrs. W.G. Toby and Eldo Toby of Pocassett; F.P. Toby, two sons and daughter of Oklahoma City; Clarence Steverson and family of Anadarko, and H.L. Pritchard and family of Cordell.
