Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday from the Irvin Funeral home here for Frank Aundon Fries, 66, who succumbed to an extended illness at 11:20 p.m. Tuesday at his home east of Alcony. Dr. A. H. Hook of the Troy First Congregational Christian church officiated.

Interment was made in the Highland cemetery at Houston. Pallbearers were Paul and Roy Mumford, D. H. Brown and Amos Davis of Alcony, Fred Sherman of Troy and Philo Sigmon of Piqua.

Mr. Fries, a retired farmer, had been ill for some time. He was born March 13, 1874 at Houston, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Constantine Fries, both of whom are dead. His wife, Mrs. Mary Bevington Fries, died in 1919.

Survivors include three sons, Kenneth of Piqua, Eldridge of Hattiesburg, Miss. and Willard of Troy; one daughter, Mrs. Veda Sherman of Troy; a foster-daughter, Mrs. Gladys Forsythe of Troy; two brothers, William of Sidney and Charles of Dayton; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Gruber of Covington and Mrs. Jennie Wollaver of Sidney; and three grandchildren.
