James Ketner - JONESBOROUGH

James Baxter "J.B." Ketner, age 90, of Jonesborough, TN, formerly of Morristown, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2010, at his residence.

He was a past member of Witt Baptist Church of Morristown and a present member of Fairhaven Methodist Church in Jonesborough. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy Hinkle Ketner; also, one grandchild.

He is survived by his children, Carolyn Ketner of Knoxville, Diana Ketner Rosenbalm, and Mike (Janet) Ketner all of Morristown; four grandchildren, Scott Buttry of Irving, TX, Joe Buttry of Knoxville, Staci Ketner Brubaker of S.C., and Ashley Ketner of Knoxville; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Gladys Ketner Miller of Jefferson City.

In 1994, Mr. Ketner was remarried to Foy Wright Arnold with whom he shared his life until his death. To this union, three step-daughters and two step-sons were added, along with numerous step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 13 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Witt Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to The American Heart Association or The American Cancer Association.
