Shirlee, 77, of Owosso, joined her daughter, Sheree in Heaven on Sunday, at Memorial Healthcare.
Shirlee was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Funeral Services were held Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at the M-21 Church of Christ in Corunna, with Mr. Michael Light officiating.
Shirlee was born the daughter of Alfred L.A. and Ardis L. (Stinchcomb) Friess. She graduated from Owosso High School in 1950.
On July 15, 1950, she married August "Bud" Arnett in Owosso. She enjoyed bowling, was an avid reader and loved to cook for her family. She always looked forward to wintering in Florida. She was the type of person who was always there when she was needed and often shared her faith.
Survivors include her husband, Bud; sons, Augie (Sallie) Arnett and Rick (Cindy) Arnett; daughters, Teena (Dan) Spencer, Cindy (Glenn) Aldrich, Joni (Ken) Lahmann and Beth Mills; twelve grandsons; five granddaughters; and twenty-three great-grandchild; two brothers, Larry (Carol) Friess and Gerry (Laura) Friess; two sisters, Kay Robinson and Nancy Nicholas; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Friess and Jean Arnett.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Sheryl Ann Duffield; her parents; three brothers, Bill Friess, Jim Friess and Fritz Friess; and two sisters, Marge Moore and Leila Zwolensky.
