Ralph E. Abel died on Saturday [5 Nov] at his home on Maple Avenue. He had been ill for the past month with pleurisy and up to Saturday was apparently getting better, but Saturday pneumonia developed.
He was born in Galway and was 35 years of age, having lived most of his life in this village. He is survived by his wife and 2 children, Franklin and Ruth; also his mother, Mrs. Frank Abel and a brother Warren Abel, of Naugatuck, Conn.
Mr. Abel was a member of the Methodist Church and also of the Knight of Pythias., Funeral services at his late residence on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m., the Rev. John M. Harris to officiate.
