Visitation is Saturday from 10 a. m. until noon at Harrigill Funeral Home.
Mrs. Fortenberry, 92, died May 30, 2001, at Laurelwood Living Center in Laurel. She was born in Lawrence County on Aug 3, 1908, to Archie P. Smith and Nolie Williams Smith.
She was a retired sales clerk for J. C. Penny. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, Ernest W. Fortenberry.
Survivors are her son, Archie W. Fortenberry of the Middle East; her daughters, Elaine F. Perrill of Dallas, Texas, Linda F. Trest of Laurel and Virginia F. Smith of Mobile; and eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
