Mrs. Steiger, who was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, lived in San Jacinto for six years. She was a Girl Scout leader and director of the Girl Scout Golden Valley Council in Fresno. She was a Sunday School teacher for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fresno. She attended Richard's School of Cosmetology in Ontario. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, No. 89 and Daughters of the Nile and affiliated with Job's Daughters, all in Fresno. She enjoyed doing genealogy.
She is survived by four daughters, Deloris Natiian of San Jacinto, Jennie Brayford of Ontario, Rosmary Scott of Fresno and Debra of Hilo, Hawaii; one son, Lowell of Ontario; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Fred Mowery of Salt Lake City, Utah; and two sisters, Lucille Shew of Salt Lake City and Thelma Tripp of Draper, Utah.
