Andrew Martin Woolley was the 5th son and the 8th and last child of Pinckney Woolley and Mary Caroline Banks Woolley. He married Katherine Deliah "Katie" Hamilton Woolley, daughter of James Smith Hamilton, Jr. and Amanda Fitzgallon Howze Hamilton, on Aug 12, 1879 in Overton, TX, Rusk Co. They had 4 sons and 2 daughters.

ANDREW M. WOOLLEY PASSES TO REWARD
Andrew M. Woolley, 76, resident of this city for forty years, died in a Dallas hospital Sunday. The funeral will be held this afternoon at the Presbyterian church in this city at 4 o'clock, Internment in Oakland cemetery.

Deceased is survived by four sons. Clyde V. Woolley of Amarillo, Sandford D. Woolley of this city, B. W. Woolley and B. L. Woolley of Dallas, two daughters, Mrs. E. D. Criddle of Denton and Mrs. W. W. Todd of Waxahachie, and a brother, Lorenzo Woolley of Hearne. Mrs. Woolley died in Terrell about thirty years ago.

Mr. Woolley served the city of Terrell two terms as city secretary and later was assistant postmaster for a term of years. Prior to these activities, he had been credit man in the firm of J. T. Conway-McCord company, and later was employed on a local paper for several years. For several years he was active as a member of a Lions club.

Mr. Woolley was a devout member of the First Presbyterian Church of this city, serving on it's official board. He was a leader in all movements for civic righteousness and stood for the right as he saw it like adamant.

For sometime he had been in failing health, leaving here a few days ago following his recovery from a severe attack for Colorado with the hope that the cooler climate might be of benefit. He was taken sick enroute, however, and was returned to the Dallas hospital where he died.

Active pallbearers will be Ben Shelton, H. Galbraith, Brown White, Joe Davis, R. C. Goodman, J. O. Livingston, Thomas R. Bond, D. E. Nicholson. All his many friends are selected as honorary pallbearers. Rev. A. C. Evans, pastor of the Presbyterian church, will conduct the funeral service.

Andrew M. Woolley was born June 12, 1855, in Bibb Co. AL, the son of Pinckney and Mary Caroline Woolley. He came to Texas in 1870, locating in Henderson county, where he was married to Kate Deliah Hamilton at Overton in Rusk Co. in 1878. The family came to Terrell in 1891.
