May 1957, George and Kittie celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with 37 members of their family present (8 children, 20 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren). They came to Ione, Washington in 1926 and settled on Swede Hill where they raised cattle. George was an ardent riding enthusiast, Kittie said she enjoys traveling, visiting, and club work.
