Adrienne Marie Rhudy, age 27, of Sterling, VA and Christiansburg, VA passed away Friday, July 2, 2004 at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD.


She was born September 30, 1976 in Blacksburg, VA. Adrienne was the middle child of Dan and Ann Rhudy. Adrienne was a graduate of The University of Kentucky and was employed by FSI in Tysons Corner. In addition to her parents she is survived by a sister Julie Rhudy Ligon and brother-in-law, Todd Ligon of Christiansburg and a brother David Rhudy of Blacksburg and cousins Heather Boyer, Sarah Stolldorf, Nolynn Sutherland, Brent Sutherland, Grant Sutherland, Molly Humphrey, Will Dickenson, Jill Barrett, Blake Rhudy and Glorianna McCormick.


The family appreciates the care provided by Dr. Stephen Kennedy, Roanoke Memorial Hospital and Drs. Carraway and Juergens of John Hopkins Hospital during Adrienne's seven year battle with cancer.


A service will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, July 5 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Christiansburg, VA with Father Dennis Sossi and Rev. Chuck McHose officiating. Interment will take place at 2:30 pm Monday at the graveside in the Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery, Elk Creek, VA. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 4, 2004, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at the Horne Funeral Home. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 9 East Church Avenue, Roanoke, VA 24011
