INGRAM - Mrs. Esther Cuellar, 71 of Ingram, Texas, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2008 at her residence.
She was born on Sept. 1, 1936, in Pursima, Mexico, to Luis Castaneda and Francisca Montelongo Castaneda. She was a housewife. She loved to help other people and she loved to cook. She kept the family together.
Survivors include her companion, Benito Guardiola of Ingram; daughter, Alma Benavides of Amarillo, Texas; four sons, Juan Cuellar of Kerrville, Miguel Cuellar and his wife, Carmen, of Dumas, Texas, Ruben Cuellar and his wife, Angelina, of Shallowater, Texas, and Jaime Cuellar and his wife, Jessica, of Ingram; a sister, Flavia Gonzales of Oklahoma; a brother, Ismael Castaneda of Sonora; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cuellar will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at Grimes Funeral Chapels. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2008, at Grimes Funeral Chapels.
Memorial remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society.
