George L. Brown, whose residence was in Howard IA, when 22 years old enlisted on 11/26/1861 as a Private and mustered into IA 3rd Light Artillery. He Re-enlisted on 12/22/1863. He was Mustered Out on 10/23/1865 at Davenport, IA.
Promotions: 10th Corpl 5/1/1864, 9th Corpl 11/28/1864, 8th Corpl 12/23/1864, 5th Corpl 2/21/1865
