Uncle Jim served during WWII in the US Army and was awarded the Purple Heart.
As young men, Jim and his brother Bob (my father) looked so much alike they could have been twins. When I was quite small, at a family reunion in Brown County Park, I ran up to my Uncle Jim, calling him Daddy. Everyone got a big laugh.
Uncle Jim was such a very nice man. He always had a big smile. Rest in Peace dear uncle.
