Mrs. M.E. Morris, born 15 March 1842, has a CSA pension application online in the Georgia Archives virtual vault. She says she married William H. Morris on 24 Dec. 1859. He enlisted 1 April 1862 with Company A of the 20th GA Cav. He caught cold which turned into "Consumption of the bowels." He was sent home but never recovered and died 17 Feb. 1870 in McDuffie County, GA.
