Adell B. Fentress, 76, a retired schoolteacher, died April 7, 1991, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mrs. Fentress, a native of Knotts Island, taught in the Virginia Beach and Currituck County school systems and retired after 31 years. She was a member of Knotts Island United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, William R. Fentress Sr.; two daughters, Judy Jarman of Seaford, Va., and Sue Austin of Knotts Island; a son, William R. Fentress Jr.; a sister, Nita Dixon, and two brothers, Edgar W. Brumley and Paul Brumley, all of Virginia Beach; and six grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Knotts Island United Methodist Church by the Rev. Frank Jennings and the Rev. Frank Hughes. Burial will be in Knotts Island Cemetery. Friends may join the family at the residence. Twiford Colonial Chapel, Great Bridge, is handling arrangements.
