Stanislaw was single with one year of high school, living in Hampden, Massachusetts, when he joined the Army on 20 May 1942 at Springfield, Massachusetts. He served with the 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division during the Allied invasion of Europe. Killed in action near the Rhine. Serial #11062452

Son of Polish immigrants Wojcieh (William P.) and Katherine M. Kozinkiewicz Janik. Siblings were Leon Janik, Helen Janik Pulaski, Josephine Janik Gazda.
