Peter Tindall an old resident and soldier of Algansee, died March 13, of old age, being more than 80 years old. The Funeral was held at Fisher Church and interment was made in the Fisher Cemetery. Mr. Tindall will be greatly missed by his many friends, and his family. We extend our sympathy to the sorrowing wife and children.

Peter Tindall was born on November 2, 1823 to Andrew and Priscilla Bishop Tindall. Peter's father Andrew died in Huron, Wayne County, New York on January 23, 1847. Soon after his death the family move to Algansee, Michigan.

Peter Tindall married Roxanna Clark the daughter of Alva and Elizabeth Burdick Clark on January 26, 1851. Peter and Roxanna gave birth to two girls and two boys. Elizabeth Born on November 8,1851 unfortunately she passed away on November 20, 1852. Diatham was born on September 21, 1854 and unfortunately she also passed away in her infancy on August 30, 1856. Their first son was born in 1856 was named Alva after Roxanna's father. The second son was named Peter was like his father.

Peter Tindall is a Civil War veteran with Company I of Michigan's 13th Infantry Regiment. He Enlisted on September 4, 1864; and was mustered out in Washington D.C. on June 23, 1865. All Of Peter Tindall brother's were part of the effort of this great war.
His Youngest brother william tindall is buried on the grounds of the National historical site at the Andersonville, Civil War Prison in Georgia.
Peter's brother andrew tindall is buried at the Cave Hill Cemetery in Kentucky.

Roxanna Clark Tindall passed away on April 29, 1875.

Peter Tindall married Augusta Shermer on November 21, 1876. Peter and Augusta had four children. Lottie Tindall born on October19, 1877, Freddie George tindall born on March 1, 1879, and Mammie and Winnie Tindall born on December 16,1887.
