Jimmie Tollett, 61, of Lufkin, TX, passed away Nov. 22, 2001. Funeral services were conducted Nov. 24 in the Gipson-Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin, with the Rev. R.G. "Bud" Davis and the Rev. Greg Coon officiating. Interment followed in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mr. Tollett was born April 6, 1940, in Crossville, the son of George Finas and Mary Ann Sherrill Tollett.
He was a telephone contractor of Splicers, Inc. He attended First United Pentecostal Church in Lufkin, and had been a resident of Lufkin for 25 years.
Survivors include his wife, Joy Tollett of Lufkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Kristin and Dwayne Fredregill of Huntington, TX, and Kelli and Philip Price of Lufkin; son, Tony Tollett of Dayton, OH; sister and brother-in-law, Maxie and Joe May of Charlotte, NC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Juanita Tollett of Conroe, TX, Eddie Tollett of Crossville and Estle and Millie Tollett of Dayton, OH; grandchildren, Amanda Tollett, Kyle Tollett, Brandon Tollett, Katelyn Tollett, all of Dayton, OH, and Rhett Price and Sadie Price, both of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers were Don Engelby, Melvin Vick, Jessie Nash, Kenneth Ashby, Harold Runkle, Jerry Tollett, Carl Rushing and Richey Sikes.
