Abbie H. Marlar, 60, of 3970 Kenosha, was killed yesterday when the car he was driving was struck by another vehicle on Getwell near Elliston, police said. Marlar's son, George Timothy Marlar, 34, of Nashville, and his daughter, Ruth Diane Marlar, 23, of Burbank, Calif., also were injured. George Timothy Marlar was in stable condition while Miss Marlar was listed in serious condition, both at St. Joseph Hospital East. Sylvia Resha of Nashville, a third passenger in the Marlar vehicle, also was injured. No information was available on her condition last night. (Name omitted), driver of the second vehicle, apparently was not injured. (Name omitted) was charged with vehicular homicide, opposing traffic, drunk, driving while intoxicated and reckless driving. Police said (name omitted) was northbound on Getwell when his car crossed into the southbound lane and struck the vehicle driven by Abbie H. Marlar. Abbie H. Marlar, was a brother of Capt. William W. Marlar of the Police Department. Services will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel with burial in Memorial Park. Marlar also leaves his wife, Mrs. Ruth Gray Marlar; three sisters, Mrs. Bobbie M. Kedziora and Mrs. Lois M. Smith, both of Memphis, and Mrs. Kathleen M.
