Although the exact date and place of the birth of Fulmoth/Falmouth Kearney are uncertain, he was born about 1830, and his family lived in Moneygall, County Offaly, Ireland, where his father was a shoemaker. He emigrated to the United States in 1850 at the age of 19.
Fulmoth/Falmouth Kearney moved to Labette County, Kansas, from Tipton County, Indiana, shortly before his death. [See "President Barack Obama, the Kearney and Dunham Families, and Labette County, Kansas" by Norman R. Peters in the Summer 2012 issue of The Treesearcher, a publication of The Kansas Genealogical Society.]
Fulmoth/Falmouth Kearney is the great-great-great- grandfather of U. S. President Barack Obama.
Fulmoth Kearney married Charlotte Holloway on September 17, 1852, in Fayette County, Ohio.
Fairview Cemetery, so named because it is in the Fairview Township of Labette County, Kansas, is located on the south side of 10000th Road between Queens Road to the east and Pratt Road to the west, northwest of the town of Bartlett.
