Mrs. Bina Worth Lide, one of Decatur's most beloved and best known women, was found dead in bed at 7 o'clock this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John W. Jones, 804 Ferry Street. The doctor who was called said he believed she had been dead about six hours.
Funeral rites will be conducted at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning at the Jones home by Rev. E.V. Ramage, pastor of First Presbyterian Church and burial will take place in City Cemetery with Brown directring.
Mrs. Lide is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Rhea Lide Carson, of Atlanta; one son, Frank P. Lide, of Birmingham, and eight grandchildren, including the three children of her late son, C.K. Lide, Jr. and a sister, Mrs. Ada Worth Coffey, of Marion, Va.
Mrs. Lide would have been 83 years old on August 27, having been born on that day in 1856 in Creston, North Carolina, the daughter of the late David and Elizabeth Worth. She was the widow of the late Charles K. Lide Sr. Mrs. Lide came to Decatur to make her home in 1904. She was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church.
