Bill Thomas Smith Services for Bill Thomas Smith, 77, of Longview, will be 2 p.m. today in the Welch Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Laney Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Eagle Creek Cemetery. Mr Smith was a lifetime resident of Longview. He was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church. He was a retired maintenance man with Marathon-Le-Tourneau and worked 13 years for the City of Longview. He is survived by his wife Minnie Bullock Smith of Longview; sons Joe Smith of Mesquite and Frank Smith of Longview; daughters Emogene Kennon and Billie Melton, both of Longview, Yvonne McGregor of Huntsville, Ala., Rita Jo Brown of Houston and Betty Pharr of New Milford, Conn.; stepdaughter Bernadine Woodford of Prescott, Ariz.; sister Ola Belle Reese of Longview; 26 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
