He was born at Tinaja NM, the son of Jose Pablo & Terecena Bernal, & survived by brothers Antonio, Juan & Ignacio "Nash"; sisters Elena Bernal, Virginia Kelly, Viola Castillo & Terecina Jen.

He went to school in Tinaja, graduated from Maxwell High School & went into the Armed Forces where he served his tour of duty in Alaska. Following his tour of duty he worked on the Alaskan Pipeline for 20 years.

He was cremated.
