Jeremiah Wilcox, a prominent citizen of Harvey county, living eight or nine miles northeast of the city, near Walton, died at 1 o,clock yesterday afternoon from a complication of diseases, mainly dropsy. Funeral occurred a 1 o,clock this afternoon, and was attended by a number of friends from the city; interment at the Newton city cemetery this afternoon. As requested by the deceased, the funeral was conducted by the Masonic order, of which he was a member, the lodges of Walton and Newton participating. He was also a member of the G. A. R.
