Eben was the son of Nathaniel Bigelow, Sr. & Elizabeth (Oakes). Nathaniel married Elizabeth on 09/11/1770, the same day his twin brother John married Molly (Melvin). The twins lived in different towns so they didn't know they were marrying on the same day.

Eben was a farmer and an early landowner of Upper Hollow at Crown Point, NY. He was a veteran of the War of 1812, and was at the Battle of Plattsburgh.

Eben married Betsy (Wallace) in 1812.

Alonzo, Maranda, John, Daniel, Melissa, Martha, Henry, Mary, Orville C. Bigelow
