Percy H. Hagginbothom, 84, retired Valley Forge Park Guard, died in Veterans Administration Hospital, Philadelphia, Saturday night. He was admitted Friday morning.
Mr. Hagginbothom was the husband of the late Eva Welsh Hagginbothom who died in 1942. He had been living with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Koffroth, Hollow Road, Birchrunville.
Born in Frazer, Chester Co., he was a son of the late John and Laura Doane Hagginbothom. For many years he was in the paper hanging and painting business before retiring and becoming a park guard.
He was a Spanish-American War Veteran, being a private of Company F, of the Sixth Regiment of Pennsylvania Volunteers.
Mr. Hagginbothom was a memberof the Forks of Brandywine Manor Presbyterian Church, also Loyal Order of Moose No. 1273, Legion of the Moose No. 124, West End Fire Co. No. 3, Chester County Fireman's Association and the Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Co.
Surviving besides his daughter Elizabeth, with whom he lived, are two grandchildren and a brother, Arthur N. Hagginbothom, of Ambler.
Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral services from the Kepp Funeral Home, 416 S. Main St. Wednesday, June 28, at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Brandywine Manor Presbyterian Cemetery, Brandywine Manor. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday, 7 to 9 p.m.
