"J. D. Alexander"

J. D. Alexander, 80, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, Jan. 10, 2005. His courage and determination in his battle with cancer and back problems was an inspiration.

After serving in the Navy during World War II, he worked for many years in the automobile business. During his retirement, he dedicated many hours of service to Brazos Bend State Park's Volunteer Organization.

He is preceded in death by parents J. D., Sr., and Maureeen Alexander; wie, Ruth; and daughter, Sandra.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Larry Baldwin, granddaughters, BreAnna and Marissa; brother Carmon Alexander; close cousin Gene Cannon; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005 at the Garmany & Carden Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
